| e-mail from Randall H. Vick(24 Dec 99) My dad was a 1st Lt. Co E. 255th Infantry. He landed in France 12-14-44 and moved to the extreme NE corner of France where his unit crossed the Rhine. He later was assigned to 1st Platoon, Co E. and led his company across a mine field into Germany at 0100 3-15-45. His unit then moved into the Siegfried Line on 3-17-45. that afternoon his unit suffered 71 killed and wounded. My brothers and I would like any and all information regarding movements and locations of his unit and names of anyone he may have served with. My name is Randall H. Lt Col Tucker won the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions. Whilst looking at the WW2 Honor Roll, I came across the details of Staff Sgt Vincent J Collins, as follows: Vincent J. As this brave man shared my name I would dearly love to know more about him and his life and death.
