Television reporter seeking input concerning alleged incident at
Camp Van Dorn pertaining to the 364th Infantry Regiment. (5 Jun 01)
 

There have been allegations made that over one thousand black soldiers from the 364th Infantry Regiment were slain in a riot at Camp Van Dorn in the Summer of 1943. To this date no evidence has been uncovered substantiating such allegation. Mr Richard T. Garner of Television station WJTV, a Mississippi station is seeking witnesses of the alleged event to prove or disprove the allegations. US Army Air Corps Pilot attached to the 63rd Infantry Division as a forward air controller looking for his Infantry wartime buddies. (6 Jul 01)
 
Leslie C. Boze, a wartime P-47 Thunderbolt pilot from the 365th Sqdn of the 358th Ftr Gp who was temporarily assigned to the 63rd Infantry Division as a forward air controller during the month of April 1945 would like to make contact with some of his wartime buddies from the 63rd Infantry Division. He recalls a Captain Michael Baymore from Hq 63rd Inf Div (Major Baymore is now deceased) and a Lt Hansen. I believe that Lt Hansen was assigned to Hq 254th Infantry Regiment. If anyone recalls Leslie he would really like to discuss his "Infantry" times with the 63rd.
