Camp Van Dorn, Mississippi Revisited |
In Jul 1981, the 63rd Infantry Division Association held their34th Annual Reunion in Natchez, Mississippi. As part of the program association members made a visit to their old stomping grounds, Centreville, Mississippi and Camp Van Dorn. Mr Caulfield, author of the "Birth and Death of a World War II Army Camp, Camp Van Dorn, Mississippi" was their host. Boy Scouts of the area work hard and long to replicate the Main Gate of Camp Van Dorn including erecting a flag pole. Results of their work appear below. |
