upon us here in the Washington, D C area.
While I like a little warmth as well as the
next person, I am not comfortable in 90+
temperatures with extremely high humidity.
I would go to the high Rockies to cool off,
but by the time I got ready it would start
getting cooler here.
Just a few things to report on this month and
I know that so many of you will be on
vacation- COOLING OFF- so I'll get this
newsletter on the way.
REPUBLIC OF FRANCE'S "THANK
YOU AMERICA" CERTIFICATE.
The Republic of France's "Thank you
America" certificate is now being issued.
Details for making application for the
certificate , which is being given to all
WWII military veterans who participated in
the liberation of France, are contained on
Page 8 of the Bulletin Board.
I received my certificate a couple of weeks
ago. An image of the certificate appears on
the French Thank You Certificate Page

Don't forget to make your plans to attend
the 63rd Infantry Division Association
annual reunion to be held in Virginia Beach,
VA from 28 Sept to 1 Oct 2001.

THE KITCHEN TABLE GANG
A group of individuals have organized The
Kitchen Table Gang for the purpose of
helping veterans who are in veteran's
hospitals.

WWII VETERANS TO INTERVIEW
FOR A LITERARY/VIDEO PROJECT.
Mr Brandon C. Traister, a 19 year old
College student is working on a
literary/video project about WWII
veterans. He is looking for WWII veterans
currently living in the NJ, Del, Pa and NY
area who would be willing to be interviewed

BLOOD AND FIRE NEWSPAPERS
ON CD.
The Historian's project to place all available
Blood and Fire Newspapers on a CD has
been completed. There are a few still
missing, but it looks like almost 90% of the
issues published are now preserved.
You can get a copy of this CD for only
$10(including postage). All profits derived
from sale of these CD's will be placed in the
63rd Infantry Division Treasury.
The CD's will only work on a PC with
windows 95 or higher. Unfortunately we
have not been able to produce a CD that
will work with an Apple computer, unless
you have a PC conversion program.
You will need Acrobat Reader program on
your computer to view the newspapers.
The Acrobat Reader is available by
download from Adobe Acrobat web site for
FREE. Each CD provides the web address
of Acrobat Adobe download page.
If you do not have access to the Internet
please let us know and we will include the
Acrobat Reader program on the CD.
I have placed a reduced size image of Page
#1, Vol 1, Issue 1 of the Blood and Fire on
a separate page. Click here to go to that
page. Please realize that the clarity of the
image shown is no where as clear and
legible as those appearing on the CD.
