Issue Number 49                                  October 2010
All information in this Newsletter is developed by Fred Clinton, Webmaster, 63rd Infantry Division  and does not necessarily reflect the
views of other individuals and is in no way an Official Publication of the 63rd Infantry Division or 63rd Infantry Division Association.
This is a special edition of the 63rd Infantry Division Internet Newsletter to announce a
program recently started to help bolster the financial position of the Association.

The membership of the Association has been dwindling over the past couple of years
due to the death of many of our comrades.  Fortunately during the same period we
have been able to add a number of relatives and friends of our veterans to the rolls of
the Association as Associate members.  While that has helped quite a bit, we still need
to come up with ways to increase our financial balance if we want to continue to publish
and distribute the Blood and Fire publication which is now published and mailed three
times each year.

As you know from the last newsletter (#48) the Association has added a $15 annual
subscription cost for those wanting to continue getting the Blood and Fire publication.

Additionally an Independent Consultant for the Longaberger Company of Newark, Ohio
has offered to help our association by providing a contribution of 25% of the purchase
price of items purchased by 63rd Infantry Division Association Members and their
friends and relatives.

Over the past 10 or 12 years since I have been the webmaster of the 63rd Infantry
Division Web site I have rejected many commercial offers to be included on the web
site, but this generous offer from the Independent Consultant for the Longaberger
Company was accepted with thanks and appreciation due to our need for funds if we
wish to keep our Association going.

So I am requesting that if you need to purchase items such as Home Decor, Baskets,
Pottery, Handbags, Comfort Food and Collectibles as gifts or for your personal use,
please consider purchasing them from the Longaberger Independent Consultant by
going to the following web site.
www.longaberger.com/bloodand fire.   By using this web
site you will be immediately recognized as a member or friend of the 63rd Infantry
Division and any items purchased will result in a donation to the 63rd Infantry Division
Association.

All Longerberger baskets are handwoven in the USA at their plant in Frazysburg, Ohio.

Every Wednesday you will find internet specials for special savings.

Please note that the prices contained on this special web site are the same as you
would find on Longaberger's regular website.  Prices have not been increased or
altered to accommodate the generous offer of the Independent Longaberger
Consultant.

IMPORTANT:  IF YOU WANT A PORTION OF YOUR PURCHASE PRICE TO GO TO
THE 63RD INFANTRY DIVISION ASSOCIATION
DO NOT- I REPEAT- DO NOT CLICK
ON THE LINK ON THE LONGABERGER PAGE THAT READS
HOMESTEAD AND FACTORY STORE ONLINE".
NONE OF THE PRODUCTS
PURCHASED ON THE HOMESTEAD ONLINE OR FACTORY STORE ON LINE ARE
ELIGIBLE FOR THE 25% CONTRIBUTION.  THEY ARE GREAT BARGAINS, BUT NO
CONTRIBUTION WILL BE MADE TO THE ASSOCIATION WHEN YOU PURCHASE
ITEMS ON THOSE TWO SITES.

If you want a catalog of Longaberger products or need assistance in ordering you can
e-mail you request and/or questions to
hotshots63dinf@aol.com.

I hope you will try Longaberger's products for your personal and gift purchases and do
your part to help our Association to stay financially viable.
