Issue Number 5 December 2000
All information in this Newsletter is developed by Fred Clinton, Webmaster, 63rd Infantry Division Association and does not necessarily
reflect the views of other individuals and is in no way an Official Publication of the 63rd Infantry Division Association.
Not much in the way of new areas to
explore this month, but take a look at the
following, that is if you have the time.
Take a look at a new section--The Birth
and Death of an Army Post, Camp Van
Dorn, Mississippi. This history was
compiled by Mr Caulfield of Centreville
Mississippi and I thought it might be a nice
addition to our web site. I hope you find it
interesting. Go to the following address:

Speaking of voting, I am sorry to say that
the 63rd Infantry Division Web Page
came in a slow third in the voting for the
Military Site Web War. Just two more
votes would have done it. I have asked
for a recount, but no luck. That's OK, I
know we have the most interesting military
web site.
I am not going to spend a lot of time on
the Newsletter this month, because I have
got to do my Santa Claus thing for 17
grandchildren and I think that is going to
take a little time.
BAD NEWS--I was advised on 12 Dec
00 that someone has sent a message to
our addressee list with an attachment that
contains a virus with the name
NAVIDAD.EXE. Names of the senders
were Linda Smania or John C and
Leah D. The message sent appeared to
be an October Newsletter from the 63rd
Infantry Division but it had an attachment.
The attachment contained the virus.
Please be aware that I will never send
an attachment with the Newsletter
message. The Newsletter message will
only give you an address to go to.
I don't know why someone would take
the effort to make life so difficult for
others. Its still a great life even after
taking in to account people that will do this
kind of thing.
Best wishes for a happy holiday to all. I'll be back with you again next year. Fred Clinton your webmaster.
