| Cpl James V. Short cleaning his mess kit after dining outside. All 63d Infantry Division units were required to prepare meals and eat outside. Thus the name was given to MG Louis Hibbs- "Mess Kit Louie". This was a method of preparing us for the rigors of combat. |
