Issue Number 47                                    January 2010
All information in this Newsletter is developed by Fred Clinton, Webmaster, 63rd Infantry Division  and does not necessarily reflect the
views of other individuals and is in no way an Official Publication of the 63rd Infantry Division or 63rd Infantry Division Association.
Well I hope you all had a wonderful
holiday season and that you are
surviving the winter months.  While the
weather hasn't been all that bad here
in Virginia, except for one pretty heavy
snowstorm a few weeks ago, I am
ready to head South to warm up.

So before I leave I want to bring you
up-to-date on the latest additions to
your 63d Infantry Division Web Site.
NEW ADDITIONS TO THE WEB SITE:

A NEW INDEX PAGE FORMAT:
I have changed the entry page to the
web site to include a more subdued
image.  I have also added a photo
slide show and some accompanying
music.   You will also see a new subject
along the top of the page -"Juke Box".

The photo slide show contains about 4
minutes of photos from the photo
sections of the web site.  Of course if
you don't wish to view the photos you
just have to click on the "Enter Site"
entries and you will be moved to the
old index page.
If you wish to view the photos in a
larger image, simply click on the
photos and they will increase to the
size of your screen.  To return to the
regular sized screen, right click on the
photo and click "Exit Full Screen"
I have found that if you open the web
site using Mozilla or Firefox, the photos
appear too large in the screen to see
the entire photo, so I suggest you left
click on the photos and have them
increased to full size if you wish to view
them.  I have no idea why that
happens with Mozilla or Firefox, but
then even to be able to show them is
always amazing to me.

In the "Juke Box" you will some music
videos - some sad, some happy, some
uplifting but all proven to entertain you.

BLOOD AND FIRE ISSUES:
Don't forget that you can view the
latest issue of the Blood and Fire by
going to the following page and
clicking on the issue you wish to see.

SUGGESTIONS:
If you have any suggestions as to what
should or shouldn't be included on the
web site, please let me know.  My
e-mail address is
joyclint@comcast.net  The idea for
adding the complete alphabetical
rosters came from the son of one of
our veterans when he asked if his
father's name could somehow be
added to the web site.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND IMAGES

As usual I am still looking for
photographs and images relating to
the 63rd Infantry Division.  After 65
years much to my surprise and
pleasure they somehow keep showing
up. Keep them coming.  Remember
that all photos will appear in the
appropriate photo section of the web
site , on the Pictorial History of the
63rd Infantry Division CD and the
History CD of the unit concerned.     Of
note here is that the CDs are provided
to museums and select libraries for
research and viewing by those
interested in WWII history.     Photos
can be sent by attachments to e-mail,
along with captions or by regular mail
to me- Fred Clinton, 102 S. Jenkins
Street, Alexandria, Va 22304.  I will
return all photos after processing if
desired.
