Issue Number 39                                    November 2005
All information in this Newsletter is developed by Fred Clinton, Webmaster, 63rd Infantry Division  and does not necessarily reflect the
views of other individuals and is in no way an Official Publication of the 63rd Infantry Division or 63rd Infantry Division Association.
Just a short newsletter to let you know that
your Webmaster is alive and kicking and
waiting around for more photos and images
to be added to the web site.  Things have
been quite slow lately and it would be nice
to add a few more of those WWII photos
to our historical files before they are lost
forever.

THE BLOOD AND FIRE
PUBLICATION:

In my last newsletter I told of the passing of
Al Conti, the Editor of The Blood and Fire
Publication and the assumption of the
Editor's position by Donna LaCosse,
Secretary of the 63rd Infantry Division
Association.

I am happy to announce the Donna was
appointed as the Blood and Fire Editor at
the last Executive Council Meeting of the
63rd Infantry Division Association.  So she
is now the Secretary and the Editor.  A lot
of work for one person, but she seems to
be holding up rather well.

We owe Donna a debt of gratitude for
assuming these important duties.

CIB/CMB CERTIFICATES AND
COMBAT BUSINESS CARDS:

I am still accepting orders for the Combat
Infantryman Badge and Combat Medical
Badge certificates as well as for the Combat
Business Cards.  Either would make a
unique gift for that 63rd Infantry Division
veteran.  For details of these items go to the
following addresses:

Combat Business Cards

PHOTOS AND IMAGES:

I am still accepting photos and images
relating to the 63rd Infantry Division for
inclusion in our historical files.  All photos
and images accepted will be included on the
63rd Infantry Division Web Site and will be
added to the various history CDs prepared
by the 63rd Infantry Division Association.
(See the
Memorabilia Section for a listing of
these CDs)

Photos and images can be sent to me by
e-mail along with captions or by regular mail
to me at Fred Clinton 102 South Jenkins
Street Alexandria, VA 22304.  All items
sent by regular mail will be returned as soon
as they are processed.

The 254th Infantry Regiment and 63rd
Infantry Division Challenge coins are now in
the hands of Bill Scott, the 63rd Infantry
Division Historian at wjs631@comcast.net

PHOTO STAMPS:

In my last newsletter I mentioned that the
US Postal Service had authorized the
production of postage stamps with photos
and various images.   I mentioned that I had
a stamp printed with the 63rd Infantry
Division Patch.  I have now been advised
that the special program will no longer
accept images of military organizations so if
you only want to have a photo of your
grandchild on a stamp you are good to go,
otherwise your military image will not be
approved.

I guess I better hold on to my few remaining
63rd Infantry Division stamps.  Who
knows- I may have a collector's item here.
