Issue Number 56                                     January 2015
All information in this Newsletter is developed by Fred Clinton, Webmaster, 63rd Infantry Division  and does not necessarily reflect the
views of other individuals and is in no way an Official Publication of the 63rd Infantry Division or 63rd Infantry Division Association.
Well I guess I am a motor mouth these
past few months.  This is the third
issue of the Internet Newsletter within
the past four months.  But I think I have
some information that may be of
interest to some of you as pertains to
Memorabilia items for sale.

DONATION TO THE CAMP VAN
DORN MUSEUM IN CENTREVILLE,
MS

Due to increased orders for
Memorabilia Items I was recently able
to donate $176 to the Camp Van Dorn
Museum located in Centreville, MS.

The $176 was profit from sales after
expenses to produce the various
Memorabilia items.

Depending on future sales in 2015
I plan to donate any profit made to the
Camp Blanding, FL Museum and the
Camp Van Dorn Museum.  So keep up
your great support.

Profit from the sale of Memorabilia also
provides funds to keep the 63d
Infantry Division Web Site in operation.
In this regard I really appreciate your
continued support.

PHOTOGRAPHS AND IMAGES TO BE
ADDED TO THE 63D INFANTRY
DIVISION HISTORICAL FILES.

As usual I am making my plea for
photographs and images pertaining to
the 63rd Infantry Division.  Please look
through all of you files and photos to
see if there are any that can be
added.  I know they are out there and I
want to capture them before it is too
late.
Recently I have received photos from
individuals that bought them from
estates or from e-bay.  I would like to
get them before that occurs.
Send them to me in digitized format via
e-mail at joyclint@comcast.net and
please provide a caption for each
photo or image if known.
You can also send them to me in their
original format to Fred Clinton, 102 S.
Jenkins Street, Alexandria, VA 22304.
I will return them to you after
processing.
NEW LISTINGS FOR MEMORABILIA
ITEMS:

I have recently completed revising the
Memorabilia Section of the website so that
you will get some idea of what you are
buying.   What I have done is added a
page to the Memorabilia Section (Page 6)
that contains miniature images of the items
listed in paragraphs "Unit and Individual
Awards" and "Copies of unit flags,
Memorial Plaques and Miscellaneous
Images" on Page 2 of the Memorabilia
Section.

I finally had to purchase a new program for
Corel Draw since my old program that I
had used for so many years is no longer
supported by Corel and my old program
would not work on my new computer.  A
very nice way for Corel to pick up a couple
of hundred dollars from old customers.
The Corel Draw program was the primary
program for producing most of the various
images now available for sale.

As mentioned in the last Internet
Newsletter I have ordered fifty(50)
challenge coins for the 63rd Infantry

254th Infantry Regiment.   They have not
arrived as yet, but I am expecting them to
arrive any day now.

For your information I am placing images
of those coins below.

LAST ISSUE OF THE BLOOD AND FIRE
PUBLICATION.

I received word recently from the Editor of
The Blood and Fire that the last issue of
that publication will be printed and mailed
sometime in January or February 2015.
After that the books of the 63rd Infantry
Division Association will be closed forever.

Just remember that the 63rd Infantry
Division Website and Historian continues
to live on.

PRESIDENTIAL UNIT CITATION - C COMPANY, 253D INFANTRY REGIMENT
Recently I received 20 photographs taken after the war in an area near Bubingen, Germany
called "The Quarry".  None of the photos are identified nor are the personnel appearing in the
photos.  I have included the narrative report of that battle and the photographs on page 76 of
the Pictorial History portion of the web site.
www.63rdinfdiv.com/pictorialhistorypage76.html
C Company, 253d Infantry Regiment was awarded a Presidential Unit Citation for their heroic
efforts during that battle.
