
| During the period of 3-5 March 1945, C Company, 253d Infantry Regiment was involved in a life or death struggle for a piece of land near Bubingen Germany called the "Quarry".. For their efforts and success in this battle C Company was award a Presidential Unit Citation.(Details can be found on the 253d Infantry Regiment Section of this web site). The following is a written history of that battle. Following are some photos taken sometime after the war in Europe was over.
