During the period of 3-5 March 1945, C Company, 253d Infantry Regiment was involved in a life or death struggle for a
piece of land near Bubingen Germany called the "Quarry".. For their efforts and success in this battle C Company was
award a Presidential Unit Citation.(Details can be found on the 253d Infantry Regiment Section of this web site). The
following is a written history of that battle. Following are some photos taken sometime after the war in Europe was over.
Details in the photos and people taking the photos and appearing in the photos is not known . If you can shed some light
