In September 2019 I began to enter 75th Anniversary dates on the 63rd Infantry Division Facebook page.  
The first two related to the award of a Meritorious Unit Citation to the 63d Quartermaster and 763d
Ordnance Companies.  The most recent reported the departure of the three Infantry Regiments (253d,
254th and 255th) from Camp Van Dorn, MS for movement to the European Theater- 6 November 1944.  
The response to that announcement was quite good and several respondents provided photos of their
family member participating in that move.  So I am including the information and photos provided this past
week-Nov 2019:

WOJG (T/3), center.  Probably taken when he was in the
763d Ordnance Company.  Others in the photo are not
identified.
Pfc James G. Steinwinder, B Company 253d Infantry
Regiment.  Pfc Steinwinder was captured by the Germans
along with 28 other members of his platoon on 22 February
1945 near Kleinblittersdorf.
Members of D Company, 254th Infantry Regiment meet for a mini-reunion at the home of Sgt

The two photos above were sent in by Mr. Michael R. Caron.  The show his father, T/5 Roland
Caron, Cannon Company, 255th Infantry Regiment, celebrating his 65th Birthday in September
1989.  Unfortunately T/5 Caron passed away on 9 November 1993.
