| The photos submitted by Sgt Cecil B. Cornish, B Company 363d Medical Battalion and appearing on Pages 80 thru 83 of this section, reminded me of a small group of photos I had in my files. The photos, taken during the late months of 1943 contained soldiers from B Company, 363d Medical Battalion, my unit prior to my assignment to the 63rd Infantry Division Ranger Platoon. The photos from Sgt Cornish included names of some individuals that I could not recall, so I thought it appropriate for my B/363d Med Bn photos to appear on the web site since I could identify some of those in the photos. |

| Sometime during the fall of 1943 a large number of soldiers at Camp Van Dorn MS came down with the Flu and were confined to barracks set aside for that purpose. Unfortunately I (Pfc Fred Clinton) was one of those afflicted and was not able to meet and greet my lady friends who had driven up from Baton Rouge to see me and others. Fortunately some of my buddies managed to see that they were well received. In the back L-R: Partially showing: Pfc J. R. Lewis, S/Sgt Stephan Budassi and Pvt Andrew Frasca. I can only remember the name of the young lady on the left- Miss Helen Babin. |
