during March 1944 as a replacement for units involved in the

John Chaffey, cousin of Pfc Lawrence E. Welty, C Company
253rd Infantry, who was killed in action near the Harthauser Wald
on 9 April 1945, is looking for information about the circumstances
surrounding his cousin's death and action that was taking place
during the time he was killed in action. He is also seeking a photo
of Pfc Welty at anytime he was in the 63rd Infantry Division.

Shannon Lovell , one of Pfc Larry Saliba's grandchildren is looking
for a photo of him while he was with the 63rd Infantry Division. Pfc
Saliba was killed in action on 8 April 1945 while assigned to E
Company 253rd Infantry. Pfc Saliba was also assigned to B
Company, 253rd Infantry at some time. The family has no photos
of Pfc Saliba and would like to add any photo of him to their family
album. Perhaps someone who was assigned to E or B Company
253rd Infantry has a group photo that would include Pfc Saliba.

Ruth Philley is seeking information about the wartime experiences
of Pfc Kenneth E. Buddle, E Company, 254th Infantry Regiment
who was killed in action in the Battle of Jebsheim. Pfc Buddle was
her mother's first cousin and they were very close. The only
information the family had up to this date was that Pfc Buddle was
killed in or around the Battle of the Bulge. Ms Philley now has the
information about the Battle of Jebsheim and the memorial placed
in Jebsheim to honor the men of the 254th Infantry Regiment who
were killed during that battle. The family would like to make
contact with anyone who might have known Pfc Buddle and who
would know the circumstances surrounding his death. Ms Philley

Tom Wiedmeyer is looking for a person who he believes served
with the 63rd Infantry Division as a Forward Air Observer with the
Call Sign "Halfbake Mike". Tom thinks that this individual will be
able to provide information regarding a P-47 plane crash near
Bernbrunn, Germany on the 1st or 2d of April 1945. If you have
