If you gained entrance to the Rentrischer bunker this is what
confronted you as you came down the entrance hall to the
main portion of the bunker. Another gun port was to the
right side of this area.

Entrance to Bunker located near Merzig Germany. This
bunker is maintained by a Germany Historic Group.

Machine gun mount in the Merzig bunker. Since most all
bunkers were stripped of their hardware after the war for
various reasons, the historic group maintaining this bunker
has collected hardware from other places to restore parts of
the equipment normally contained in a bunker.
